The Minister of Finance, Hon. V. Sivoki Lavemaau, has concluded a productive series of engagements during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York (21 – 25 September 2026), advancing Tonga’s interests from the public finance management perspective; on climate finance, sustainable development, economic resilience, regional cooperation, education, and international partnerships.

The Ministry of Finance informs the public and interested technical experts of a procurement notice published by the World Bank under the Pacific Strengthening Correspondent Banking Relationships Project (P502591).

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), have signed a Grant Agreement to support the recruitment of a Principal Procurement Officer to further strengthen Tonga’s ongoing public procurement reforms.

Tonga’s Country Performance Portfolio Review (CPPR) is held annually in partnership with the World Bank to assess the progress and impact of World Bank-financed projects in Tonga.
