The Hon. Tevita Puloka, Minister for Infrastructure met with the World Bank Alternate Executive Director for the South-East Asia Group, Mr. Nakhafi Hassan, accompanied by Ms. Ilaisaane Lolo, Advisor to the Executive Director, to discuss the progress of the Tonga Climate Resilient Transport Project II (TCRTP II) funded by World Bank.
Discussions focused on the implementation of TCRTP II and the Government's priorities for strengthening climate-resilient transport infrastructure. Hon. Puloka reaffirmed his commitment to the project's successful delivery and highlighted his vision to work closely with the private sector to support infrastructure development.
The delegation visited TCRTP II project sites, including Liku Road and the Hoi–Kolonga road rehabilitation works, to observe implementation progress and discuss the project's contribution to improve connectivity and resilience across Tonga.
