informing and enhancing the private sector's access to business opportunities in donor-funded projects managed by different ministries. The event also served as a learning and training opportunity for interested businesses, helping them understand World Bank requirements for different projects and supporting their forward planning and preparation for upcoming bids. The training sessions covered the procurement process along with civil engineering, environmental, and social safeguards requirements. The discussions held at the seminar created a space for the private sector to raise issues and challenges they are facing, allowing implementing agencies and project management units to consider and address them.

Across Tonga’s portfolio of World Bank projects, there are upcoming business opportunities in the following projects: The Tonga Safer and Resilient Schools Project (TSRSP) under the Ministry of Education and Training. Projects under the Ministry of Health are Health Enhancement and Resiliency in Tonga (HEART) & Pacific Healthy Islands Transformation (PHIT). A new project under the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Revenue and Customs and the Ports Authority is the Accelerating Trade Facilitation in the Pacific Project (ATFP). The Tonga Climate Resilient Transport Project (TCRTPII) is also under the Ministry of Infrastructure.
