The Minister of Finance, Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti, joined the Pacific Island Forum delegation in his capacity as the incoming chairman of the Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM) 2024, met with the World Bank Vice President and Treasurer Jorge F. Calderon and Vice President for East Asia and Pacific (EAPVP) Manuela V. Ferro at the World Bank Headquarter, Washington DC, USA. The meeting discussed and firmed up the Bank's support for the Pacific Resilience Facility, and other regional matters such as the 2050 Strategy, Pacific Roadmap for Economic Development (PRED), Blue Economy, and Correspondent Banking.
The mission is led by the current FEMM Chairman, the Cook Island Prime Minister, Hon. Mark Brown. The series of meetings will include the US State Department/ Senators, the US Treasury, and the International Monetary Fund
