Ambassador of the European Union Farewell Visit to Tonga
The Ambassador of the European Union to Tonga, H.E. Ambassador Sujiro Seam, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Finance, Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti, at the Ministry of Finance this morning.
The Minister acknowledged the European Union's support to Tonga, particularly in the energy and public sectors, as well as civil society. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of working collaboratively with regional organizations to implement the regional programs funded by the European Union.
The Minister wished His Excellency well as his term with the European Union Office is ending soon.
He was accompanied by Ms. Liisa Heikkila, Head of Politics, and Mrs. Eleni Tevi, EU Program Coordinator.
