Aid and Project Division

Project and Aid Management Division (PAMD) requires capacity to:

  • Strengthen central oversight, accountability and thus complement improvements in development partners aid effectiveness initiatives
  • Provide advice on and share international guidance for aid & development effectiveness, & development partner processes
  • Pssess project proposals according to priorities and obtain formal government approvals in an efficient and timely manner  
  • Arrange meetings and forums between development partners and GoT to ensure alignment to development needs, improve effectiveness of programming grant aid and loan funding for projects and budget support 
  • Maintain the database with project/program implementation including a registry for all funding agreement, obligations and provide regular monitoring reports  review development projects/programs execution to improve Negotiation skills with development partners to deliver increasing levels of assistance  
  • Oversee the implementation of small scale infrastructure projects in vulnerable communities
  • Track the effectiveness of development assistance
  • Address the challenges of MDAs failing to meet full compliance with development funds covenants which results in ineligible spending
  • Support the Ministry's effort to better prioritise, coordinate and  allocate development resources.
